You Ought Rather To Forgive And Comfort Him – Forgiveness Bible Verses.
For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.
Then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your people Israel, and bring them back to the land which You gave to their fathers.
1 Kings 8:33-34
And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

3 So the Lord relented concerning this.
“It shall not be,” said the Lord.
“So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”
Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”
It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the adversities which I purpose to bring upon them, that everyone may turn from his evil way, that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.”
You may collect something from a foreigner, but you must forgive whatever your brother owes you.
So that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow. 8 Therefore I urge you to reaffirm your love to him.
2 Corinthians 2:7-8
Take words of repentance with you and return to the Lord.

2 Chronicles 6:39-40
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
