Cessation Of The Menses – Menopause — Change Of Life

By the phrase, “change of life,” or, the critical period, we understand the final cessation, or stoppage, of the menses. It usually takes place between the ages of forty and fifty, although in some cases it may occur as early as thirty, and in others not until sixty.

However, we can expect the change about the forty-fifth year. The symptoms will vary according to the constitution of the woman. In some the change occurs by the discharge gradually diminishing in quantity; in others, by the intervals between the periods being lengthened.

A woman may pass this period without having any more unpleasant symptoms than an occasional rush of blood to the head, or a headache. Others, however, may have very severe symptoms arise, which will require the care of an intelligent physician.

These disagreeable sensations should receive a careful consideration and not be hushed up with the reply that these complaints arise from the “change of life” and will vanish whenever that change takes place. The foundation of serious trouble may be laid which will make the remainder of her existence a burden and cut short a life which might have been conducted to a good old age.

While this change is in progress, in probably the majority of cases there is more or less disturbance of the health. It is sometimes quite impossible to say exactly what is the trouble with the patient, except that she is out of health.

The following are some of the symptoms which may arise: Headache, dizziness, biliousness, sour stomach, indigestion, diarrhea, piles, costiveness, itching of the private parts, cramp and colic of the bowels, palpitation of the heart, swelling of the limbs and abdomen, pains in the back and loins, paleness and general weakness.

Management

Eat and drink moderately; sleep in airy, well-ventilated rooms; exercise daily in the open air, either by walking or riding; avoid violent emotions; shun exposure to wet, stormy weather, wet feet, etc.

Keep the bowels regulated with the following:

Mercurial pill, one grain; ipecac powder, one-half grain; compound rhubarb pill, three grains. Mix for a pill to be taken every night.

Or, one ounce of hicra picra, or powdered aloes with castella, mixed in a pint of gin, which should stand for four or five days, after which a tablespoonful in a glass of water may be taken every morning or second morning, as the case may be.

If the patient is large and fleshy, of full habit, the following is recommended:

Sulphate of magnesia, one and one-half ounces; compound infusion of roses, five ounces; cinnamon water, one ounce. Mix, Dose: Two tablespoonfuls once a day.

If there are nervous symptoms prominent, give valerianate of zinc, eight grains; tincture of valerian, two drams; orange flower water, three and a half ounces; syrup of red poppies, two drams.

Mix. Dose: A tablespoonful every six hours.

Is The Lake Of Fire In Hell, Real And Literal Fire – Spiritual Reading.

This is not so vital a question as the question, is there a literal hell, but nevertheless it is an important question, and I believe the question is plainly answered in the Bible, and plainly answered by Jesus Christ Himself.

To turn again to the passage already referred to, Matt. 5:22, we read: “But I say unto you, that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council; and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of the hell of fire.”

These are Christ’s own words. He not only speaks of hell, but a “hell of fire,” and this too is from the Sermon on the Mount. In Matt. 18:9 the Lord Jesus says again, “And if thine eye cause thee to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from thee; it is good for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the hell of fire.”

And again in Mark 9:43-49, the passage read a few moments ago, we read, “And if thy hand cause thee to stumble, cut it off; it is good for thee to enter into life maimed, rather than having thy two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire. And if thy foot cause thee to stumble, cut it off; it is good for thee to enter into life halt, rather than having thy two feet to be cast into hell. And if thine eye cause thee to stumble, cast it out; it is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell, where the worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

Here again some may say the fire is figurative. Turn to Matt. 13:30, 41, 42, we read these words: “Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, gather up first [the tares, and bind them in bundles to barn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Now here is a parable and we have figures and there would be warrant, if this were all that we had, for saying that the fire was figurative, as other things in the verse are figurative; but in the 41st and 42nd verses of the same chapter we read, “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and they that do iniquity, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Here we have the interpretation of the parable. Now in parables, as already said, we have figures, but in the interpretation of parables we have the literal facts which the figures represent, but we see clearly that here in the interpretation as well as in the parable, we have fire.

Everything else in the parable is explained, every item in the parable except the fire, but that remains fire in the interpretation of the parable as well as in the parable itself. We find the same thing in another parable in verses 47 to 50, the parable of the net cast into the sea. Here, also, in the interpretation of the parable as well as in the parable itself we have fire.

Every other figure of the parable is explained by the literal fact that it represents, but in the interpretation of the parable we have “fire.” In the light of these facts we cannot deny the literal fire of hell without doing violence to every reasonable law of interpretation.

Furthermore [still, we read in Rev. 20:15 that at the judgment of the great white throne, “and if any was not found written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the lake of fire.”There is nothing in the whole context that suggests a figure. And in the 21st chapter and the 8th verse we read: “But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolators, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.”

Remember furthermore that the wicked in the eternal world are not mere disembodied spirits. This is plain both from the Old Testament and the New. We read in Dan. 12:2: “And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”

Now this says “them that sleep in the dust of the earth.” The soul departs into Hades. It is the body that crumbles into dust, and it is the body that is to be raised. In the New Testament, in John 5:28, 29, our Lord is recorded as saying: “Marvel not at this; for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.”

Now it is not the souls of men that are in the tombs, it is the bodies of men, and this passage teaches the resurrection of the bodies, both of the good and of the wicked. In I Cor 15:22 we read, “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.” What Paul is talking about in this entire chapter is the resurrection of the body, not merely the immortality of the soul, and we are here distinctly told that every child of Adam gets resurrection of his body in Christ.

Furthermore, in Matt. 5:30 Jesus says: “If thy right hand causeth thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from thee; for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not thy whole body go into hell.” Here in the plainest possible terms the body is spoken of as going into hell, and in a similar way in Matt. 10:28, the Lord Jesus says: “Be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

From these plain and definite words of our Lord it is plain as day that in the future life we are to have bodies, and that the bodies of the lost are to have a place in a literal physical hell of fire. While the bodily torments of hell fire are not the most appalling feature of hell, while the mental agony, the agony of remorse, the agony of shame, and the agony of despair, is worse, immeasurably worse; nevertheless, physical suffering, a physical suffering to which no pain on earth is anything in comparison, is a feature of hell.

Is The Devil Real And Does He Exist – Spiritual Reading.

The first point to make clear is that there is a Devil. This is plain from our first text, John 8:44: “The Devil. . . .is.” The whole verse reads: “Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do: He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.”

These are the words of Jesus Christ. With any one who has any right to call himself a Christian, the words of Jesus Christ have infinitely more weight than the words of Mrs. Mary Baker Eddy or any one else, or all others together, and Jesus here says, “The Devil. . . .is.” But this is not the only passage by any means in which our Lord Jesus asserts in the most emphatic and most unmistakable terms the existence of the Devil.

Turn to Matt. 13:19, and you will read these words: “When any one heareth the word of God, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one and snatcheth away that which has been sown in his heart.” These words are found in the interpretation of a parable—the Parable of the Sower.

It is impossible to say that these words are figurative. In parables we have figures, in the explanation of the parables we have the literal facts that the figures symbolise, and these words are not taken from the parable, but from our Lord’s own explanation of the parable, and here we are distinctly told that there is a person, who is here called “The Evil One,” whose business it is to snatch away the Word of God when it has been sown in hearts that do not understand and heed it.

If evil is only impersonal and our Lord had only referred to impersonal influences, or human influences, as taking away the Word out of the hearts where it had been sown, these words of His would be utterly without meaning. That Jesus Christ believed that there was a person of whom He here speaks as “The Evil One” and of whom He elsewhere speaks, as we shall see directly, as “The Devil,” admits of no doubt if we grant that the Lord Jesus was an honest man.

We must, therefore, if we believe in the Lord Jesus, believe that there is a Devil. We can deny his existence only by questioning either the honesty or the intelligence of our Lord. He certainly taught that there was a Devil. It would be easy to show from the teachings of Peter (1 Pet. 5:8, 9; Acts 5:3) and from the teachings of John (John 13:2) and from the teachings of Paul (Eph. 6:10-12) also that there is a Devil; but that is unnecessary for any one who has any right to call himself a Christian, for if the Lord says so, that settles it, and the Lord Jesus does say “The devil. . . .is.” If there is no Devil, then our Lord Jesus was either a fool or a fraud.

The question of believing in the personality of the Devil involves the honour of our Lord Jesus. If His teaching is not to be trusted on this point, it is not to be trusted on any other point, and the denial of a personal Devil involves the trustworthiness of the Lord Jesus as a Teacher and a Saviour at every point. So we see that the question of the existence of the Devil is fundamental and of vital importance.

What Is Character And Nature Of The Devil – Spiritual Reading

What Is Character And Nature Of The Devil - Spiritual Reading Blog Post Banner Image

What Is Character And Nature Of The Devil – Spiritual Reading.

1. First of all, the Bible teaches us that the [Devil is a person.

This comes out in our second text, 1 John 3:8: “The devil sinneth.” Only a person can sin. When we say that the Devil is a person we do not mean that necessarily he has a body, certainly not such a body as he is pictured as having in various paintings and engravings that are supposed to represent the Devil. A person is any being who knows and feels and wills. When we say that the Devil is a person we mean that he is a being who has intelligence, feeling and will, that he is not a mere principle of evil.

The personality of the Devil is taught over and over again in the Bible. Just a few illustrations in addition to our texts. Turn again to Matt. 13:19: “When any one heareth the word of God, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart.”

The representation of this passage is the representation of a person. He is called “The Evil One,” not merely “evil,” but “The Evil One,” which of course is the representation of a person. If evil is only impersonal, or if it only works through human beings, these words of our Lord Jesus would be without meaning.

The personality of the Devil comes out again very clearly and very forcibly in Eph. 6:10-12: “Finally, brethren, be strong in the Lord and the strength of his might. (11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

Here Paul distinctly tells us that the great reason why we need to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might and why we need to put on the whole armour of God, is because there is a being of great cunning, subtlety and power, a person named “The Devil,” and that this being has under him a multitude of other personalities of such dignity and power as to be called by the titles: “principalities,” “powers,” “world rulers,” “spiritual hosts of wickedness.”

Beyond a question our Lord Jesus, and the Apostle Peter and the Apostle John and the Apostle Paul believed in and taught the existence of a personal Devil. If there is not a personal Devil we may as well give up our Bible, for in that case it is a book that is full of folly and of fraud. If there is not a personal Devil we must give up our belief in the inspired authority of the Apostle Paul, the Apostle Peter, the Apostle John, and we must give up our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

No intelligent student of the Bible can retain his faith in the inspiration and authority of that Book, or his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, if he gives up belief in the existence of a personal Devil. As intelligent men and women, we must take our choice between believing in the existence of a personal Devil or giving up our faith in Jesus Christ and Christianity. Any system of doctrine that denies the existence of a personal Devil is radically unchristian whatever name it may arrogate to itself.

2. The second thing that the Bible teaches as to the nature of the Devil, is that, the Devil is a being of very great power and authority.

This comes out in the verses we have just read, Eph. 6:10, 11: “Finally be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (11) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” These words make it clear that the Devil is so mighty that the people of God cannot resist his cunning wiles without having on the whole armour of God, and it is also evident from the 10th verse that we cannot resist his power unless we are strengthened with the strength of God.

And this is not all: in the 12th verse we read: (12) “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

These are tremendous words. If they mean anything, they certainly mean that there are beings of great authority and dignity who are under the leadership of the one supreme being of evil, the Devil. The conflict that we have on hand as believers in Christ is terrific. The conflict that the Allies have on hand with the mighty military forces of the Kaiser is nothing to the battle we have on hand with the Devil and his hosts.

We are fools if we underestimate the battle. On the other hand, we must not over-estimate it. While our conflict is with the Devil, and while our wrestling is against “the principalities,” against “the powers,” against “the world-rulers,” against “the spiritual hosts of wickedness,” nevertheless He that is for us is far mightier than they. The Devil is mighty but our Saviour is almighty.

It is quite possible for one to become morbid over this subject of the Devil, and to become utterly discouraged and even deranged. That is entirely unnecessary and unwarranted. While our conflict is with the Devil and his mighty hosts, God has provided for us a strength and an armour whereby we may “be able to quench all the fiery darts of the Evil One” and to “withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand” (v. 13).

3. The third thing that the Bible teaches us as to the Nature of the Devil is that, the Devil is a being of great majesty and dignity of position.

Turn to Jude 8, 9: “Yet in like manner these also in their dreamings defile the flesh, and set at nought dominion, and rail at dignities (the literal translation of the Greek word rendered dignities is “glories“). (9) But Michael the Archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing judgment, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.”

From these words it is evident that the position of the Devil was so exalted that even Michael the archangel did not dare to bring a railing judgment against him. The context seems to imply that the position of the Devil was more exalted than that of Michael the archangel himself. The Devil of the Bible is not at all the Devil of common thought. He is not a being hideous in appearance, with hoofs and horns and tail. He is not even the being pictured by Milton or Bunyan.

He is a being of very great original majesty and dignity, a being of great wisdom and power. When people talk lightly and contemptuously about the Devil they display gross ignorance of what the Bible teaches about him. It is true that he is evil in character and therefore called “The Evil One” (John 5:19, R. V.). It is true he is a liar and a murderer (John 8:44), it is true that he is full of malignity (II Cor. 4:4): but he is a being of great dignity and majesty, so that even Michael the archangel durst not bring against him a railing accusation.

4. The Bible teaches furthermore that the Devil is “the prince of this world.”

Our Lord Jesus Himself taught this. He says in John 12:31: “Now is the judgment of this world; now shall the prince of this world be cast out.” The Greek word translated “world” in this passage is kosmos, and the thought is of the present world order, and our Lord’s teaching is that the Devil is the prince of this present world order.

We have the same teaching of our Lord in John 14:30, where we read: “I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me.” These words of our Lord [are found in what many regard as the most precious chapter in the Bible, the 14th chapter of John, and if we give up this teaching of our Lord regarding Satan we must give up, not merely the Bible as a whole, but this most precious chapter in the Bible. We find the Lord teaching the same thing again on that same night, the night before His crucifixion, in John 16:11 where he says: “The prince of this world is judged”—the evident reference being to Satan.

How the Devil came to be Prince of this world it may be impossible for us to say, but that he is so admits of no question, if we are to accept the teaching of Jesus Christ, and any one who will study the ruling principles of commercial life, of political life, of social life, and above all of international relations, to such an one it will become perfectly evident that the Devil is the one who is master of the present order of things.

If we ever doubted before that there was a Devil, and just such a Devil as the Bible pictures, we can scarcely doubt it now, when we consider the action of the rulers of the earth in this present mad world war. How could beings so intelligent in matters of science and philosophy and economics as the present rulers of Germany are, ever be guilty of plunging the nations of the earth into this mad war?

There is but one reasonable answer: because there is a Devil who rules the present Kosmos, or world order, and he controls the Kaisers and the Reichstags of the world and will until the true Prince comes, the Prince of Peace, our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Are The Results Of The Atoning Death Of Jesus Christ – Spiritual Reading

What Are The Results Of The Atoning Death Of Jesus Christ – Spiritual Reading.

1. The first result of the atoning death of Jesus Christ is that a propitiation is provided for the whole world.

We read in 1 John 2:2, “He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.” This plainly means that by the death of Jesus Christ a basis is provided upon which God can deal in mercy and does deal in mercy with the whole world.

All of God’s dealings in mercy with any man are on the ground of Christ’s death. Only on the ground of Christ’s death could God deal in mercy with any man. God’s dealings in mercy with the rankest blasphemer or the most blatant atheist is on the ground of the atoning death of Jesus Christ.

2. In the second place through the atoning death of Jesus Christ all men obtain resurrection from the dead.

We read in Rom. 5:18, “So then as through one trespass (i.e., the trespass of Adam) the judgment came unto all men to condemnation; even so through one act of righteousness (i.e., through Christ’s righteous act in dying on the cross in obedience to the will of God) the free gift came unto all men to justification of life.” And we are told in 1 Cor. 15:22, “As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.”

The Apostle Paul in the whole chapter is speaking about the resurrection of the body, not about eternal life, and he here distinctly teaches that as every child of Adam loses life (physical life—see Gen. 3:19) in the first Adam, so also in Jesus Christ, the second Adam, he obtains resurrection from the dead, through the atoning death of Jesus Christ. Every man, the rankest infidel as well as the most devout believer, will some day be raised from the dead because Christ died in his place.

Whether the resurrection which he obtains through the death of Jesus Christ shall be a “resurrection of life” or a “resurrection of condemnation,” “shame and everlasting contempt” (John 5:28, 29; Dan. 12:2) depends entirely upon what attitude the individual takes toward the Christ in whom he gets the resurrection.

3. By the atoning death of Jesus Christ all believers in Jesus Christ have forgiveness of all their sins.

We read in Eph. 1:7, “In whom (i.e., in Jesus Christ) we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” Because Jesus Christ died as a full satisfaction for our sins, forgiveness of sin is not something which believers are to do something to secure, it is something which the blood of Jesus Christ has already secured and which our faith has already appropriated to ourselves; “we have forgiveness,” we are forgiven.

Every believer in Jesus Christ is forgiven every sin he ever committed or ever shall commit, because Jesus Christ shed His blood in his place. Through Christ’s atoning death all believers in Him, although they once “were enemies,” are now “reconciled to God by the death of His Son.” As we read in Rom. 5:10, “While we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son.”

That is to say, the enmity between God and the sinner is done away with, or, as Paul puts it in Col. 1:20, Christ has “made peace through the blood of His cross,” or, as he puts it in the next verse but one, Col. 1:22, Christ “hath reconciled” believers “in the body of His flesh through death.”

The story is told of a faithful vicar in England who was told that one of his parishioners was dying. She was a good woman, but he hurried to her side to talk with her. As he sat down by the side of the dying woman he said to her very gently but solemnly, “They tell me you have not long to live.” “No,” she replied, “I know I have not.” “They tell me you will probably not live through the night.” “No,” she replied, “I do not expect to live through the night.” Then he said very earnestly, “Have you made your peace with God?” She replied, “No, I have not.” “And are you not afraid to meet God without having made your peace with Him?” “No, not at all,” she calmly replied. Again he said to her, “Do you understand what I am saying? Do you realise that you are at the point of death?” “Yes.” “Do you realise you will probably not live through the night?” “Yes.” “And you have not made your peace with God?” “No.” “And you are not afraid to meet God?” “No, not at all.”

There was something about the woman’s manner that made him feel there was something back of her words, and he said to her, “What do you mean?” She replied, “I know I am dying. I know I am very near death. I know I shall not live through the night. I know I must soon meet God, and I am not at all disturbed, for I know that I did not need to make my peace with God, because Jesus Christ made peace with God for me more than eighteen hundred years ago by His death on the cross of Calvary, and I am resting in the peace that Jesus Christ has already made.”

The woman was right: no man needs to make his peace with God, Jesus Christ has already made peace by His atoning death, and all we have to do is to enter into the peace which Jesus Christ has made for us, and we enter into that peace by simply believing in the One who made peace by His death upon the cross. Jesus Christ’s work was a complete and perfect work. There is nothing to be added to it. We cannot add anything to it, and we do not need to add anything to it. Jesus Christ has “made peace through the blood of His cross.”

4. The fourth result of the atoning death of Jesus Christ is that because of the atoning death of Jesus Christ all believers in Him are justified.

We read in Rom.5:9, “Being now justified by His blood.” Justification is more than forgiveness. Forgiveness is negative, the putting away of our sins, manifested in God’s treating us as if we never had sinned.

Justification is positive, the reckoning of us positively righteous, the imputing to us the perfect righteousness of God in Jesus Christ, not merely the treating us as if we had never sinned, but the reckoning us clothed upon with perfect righteousness. By reason of Jesus Christ’s atoning death there is an absolute interchange of position between Jesus Christ and His people.

In His death upon the cross Jesus Christ took our place of condemnation before God, and the moment we accept Him we step into His place of perfect acceptance before God. As Paul puts it in 2 Cor. 5:21, “Him who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Jesus Christ stepped into our place in the curse and rejection, and the moment we accept Him we step into His place of perfect acceptance, or as it has been expressed by another:”Near, so very near to God,Nearer I cannot be;For in the person of His Son,I’m just as near as He.Dear, so very dear to God,Dearer I cannot be;For in the person of His Son,I’m just as dear as He.”

5. Furthermore, because of the full atonement that Jesus Christ has made by the shedding of His blood, by His atoning death on the cross, every believer in Him can enter boldly into the holy place, into the very presence of God.

As it is put in Heb. 10:19, 20, “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place (i.e., into the very presence of God) by the blood of Jesus, by the way which He dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; and having a great priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith.”

Oh, how some of us hesitate to come into the presence of God when we think of the greatness and the number of our sins, and when we think how holy God is, how the very seraphim (the “burning ones,” burning in their own intense holiness) veil their faces and feet in His presence and unceasingly cry “Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of Hosts” (Isa.6:2, 3).

“God is Holy,” we think. “Yes.” “And I am a sinner.” “Yes.” But by the wondrous offering of Christ “once for all” I am “perfected forever,” and on the ground of that blood so precious and so sufficient unto God, I can march boldly into the very presence of God, look up with unveiled face into His face and call Him “Father,” and pour out before Him every desire of my heart. Oh, wondrous blood!

6. But this is not all. Because of the atoning death of Jesus Christ those who believe in Him shall ever live with Him.

How plainly Paul puts it in 1 Thess. 5:10, “Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, (i.e., at His coming), we should live together with Him.”

7. Further yet, because of the atoning death of Jesus Christ, all those who believe on Him receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

This is what we are told in Heb. 9:15, “And for this cause He is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.” I wish I had time to dwell upon that.

8. There are other results of the atoning death of Jesus Christ as regards the Devil and his angels, into which we have no time to go.

Just one more thing as regards the results of the atoning death of Jesus Christ as it relates to the material universe. God teaches us that through the death of Jesus Christ the material universe—”all things, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven”—is reconciled unto God. These are His words, “For it was the good pleasure of the Father that in Him (i.e., in Jesus Christ) should all the fullness dwell and, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in Heaven” (Col. 1:19, 20).

These are wonderful words. They tell us that the death of Jesus Christ has a relation to the material universe, to things on earth and to things in heaven, as well as to us and our sins. The material universe has fallen away from God in connection with sin (Rom. 8:20, R. V.Gen. 3:18). Not only earth but heaven has been invaded and polluted by sin (Eph. 6:12, R. V.Heb. 9:23, 24).

Through the death of Jesus Christ this pollution is put away. Just as the blood of the Old Testament sacrifice was taken into the most holy place, the type of heaven, so Christ has taken the blood of the better sacrifice into heaven itself and cleansed it.

“All things . . . whether they be things in earth or things in heaven” are now reconciled to God. “The creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God” (Rom. 8:21). “We look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness” (2 Peter 3:13).

The atonement of Jesus Christ has an immense sweep—far beyond the reach of our human philosophies. We have just begun to understand what the blood that was spilled on Calvary means. Sin is a far more awful, ruinous, and far-reaching evil than we have been wont to think, but the blood of Christ has a power and efficiency, the fullness of which only eternity will disclose.

Where Are The Issues Of Eternity Settled – Before Or After Death – Spiritual Reading.

There remains one other important question; and that is, where are the issues of eternity settled. There are those who believe that the punishment of the persistently impenitent is everlasting, that it has no end, but they also believe that the issues of eternity are not settled in the life that now is, but that with many they are settled after death and that when men die impenitent they will have another chance.

Believing in endless punishment does not necessarily involve believing that there is no chance after death. There are many who believe that there will be a chance after death, and that many will accept it, who also believe that some will not accept it and will therefore be punished for ever and ever. Now what is the teaching of the Word of God on this point?

Let me call your attention to four passages, any one of which settles the question, and taken together they leave no possible room for doubt for any candid man who is willing to take the Bible as meaning what it says, any man who is really trying to find out what the Bible teaches and not merely trying to support a theory.

The first passage in:

2 Cor. 5:10: “For we must all be made manifest before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

In this passage we [are plainly told that the basis of judgment in the world to come is “the things done in the body,” i.e., the things done this side the grave, the things done before we shuffle off this mortal coil, the things done before the spirit leaves the body. Of course, this particular passage has to do primarily with the judgment of the believer, but it shows what the basis of future judgment is, viz., the things done this side of the grave.

The second passage is:

Heb. 9:27: “It is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment.” Here we are distinctly told that “after death” there is to be, not an opportunity to prepare for judgment, but “judgment,” and that, therefore, our destiny is settled at death, and that there is no chance of salvation “after death.”

The third passage is:

John 5:28, 29: “Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.” Here also it is clearly implied that the resurrection of good and bad is for the purpose of judgment regarding the things done before their bodies were laid in their graves.

A fourth passage, if possible more decisive than any of these, gives our Lord’s words:

John 8:21: “He said therefore again unto them; I go away, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your [sin, whither I go, ye cannot come.” Here our Lord distinctly declares that the question whether men shall come to be with Him or not depends upon what they do before they die, that if they die impenitent, if they “die in their sins,” that whither He goes they cannot come. To sum up the teaching of all these passages, the issues of eternity, the issues of eternal life or eternal destruction, the issues of eternal blessedness and glory, or eternal agony and shame, are settled in the life that now is.

The Power Of Your Words To Create Good Or Bad

The Power Of Your Words To Create Good Or Bad

Words have power immeasurably. They have the ability to change situations and destinies. Words can create or destroy. Words can give life or they can kill.

King Solomon perfectly illustrates it with the phrases below:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Proverbs 18:21

He who guards his mouth preserves his life,
But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.
Why else did God give us the senses which many people keep abusing continually? Why do folks think God also provided us the Bible?
Words have power.

Proverbs 13:3

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life,
But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Proverbs 15:4

I understand communication is multifaceted entity:

  • Images have power.
  • Colors have power.
  • Symbols have power.
  • Sounds have power.
  • Touches have power.
  • Vibrations have power.
  • Consonance and patterns have power.

Considering the power of communication in it’s varied forms, it’s therefore very important to watch what we think, say, watch and see.

If we are going to produce life giving words, then we have to sow the right seeds. And sowing the right seeds starts with having good seeds.

We have to be careful about the things we read for example magazines, books, articles, blogs etc.

We have to be intentional about what we watch and listen to because all these ultimately affect what we will say.

I pray we are able to speak life, love, Jesus, faith, hope into the lives of others. I pray we become builders and restorers.

How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Matthew 12:34-37

“And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”
34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep his father’s sheep, and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, 35 I went out after it and struck it, and delivered the lamb from its mouth; and when it arose against me, I caught it by its beard, and struck and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” 37 Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!”
38 So Saul clothed David with his armor, and he put a bronze helmet on his head; he also clothed him with a coat of mail. 39 David fastened his sword to his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. And David said to Saul, “I cannot walk with these, for I have not tested them.” So David took them off.

1 Samuel 17:33-39

It does not matter who start the race the most important thing is who finish the race. Though some have gone ahead of you now it is not an issue the most important thing is the end. A winner is not border about the beginning because Job 8: 7 says, Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase. Building a winning mentally is a sure way to live a productive life.

Every challenges you encounter in life is to charge you in order to be in charge of your destiny. A winner is charged in the atmosphere of challenges because Proverb 23:18 says For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. Winning mentally is the characteristic way of thinking about obtaining victorious result.

In this edition we shall be looking at how to build a winning mentality. Therefore, building a winning mentality required the following : The strength of your Knowledge, The strength of your Faith and The strength of your Vision.

To live a triumphant life is to be adequately informed about God’s promises concerning you and your immediate environment. Knowledge is power that is why God says in Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge I will also reject thee.

You need to understand here that God says my people, that is His children not unbeliever but believer are destroyed for lack of knowledge. So it is possible to be born again or spirit filled and yet be under satanic bondage. See ,whatever you don’t know will continue to rule over you.

“Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”

Isaiah 5:13

God laid another emphasis here again that my people are in captivity today simply because of no knowledge. Building a winning mentality required the strength of your knowledge.

Note, every winner is a man and woman of faith. Life is a battle therefore the only recommended spiritual medication is faith because without faith you will always faint and defeated by the enemies.

“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. To lay hold on what belongs to you in the place of destiny demands a rugged faith. Faith is a defensive mechanism that guarantee our victory.”

1 Timothy 6:12

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Building a winning mentality required the strength of your faith.”

Ephesians 6:16

I wrote WAEC (West African Examination Council) twice and JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) four times but I made up my mind that I will only go to university not polytechnic for two reasons. First, all the male sibling in my family are university graduate so I cannot settle for less. Secondly, I wanted to study Law and Polytechnic don’t offer law so I have no choice than to keep believing God for victory despite my consistence failure in JAMB however I finally passed my JAMB got admission ,graduated and served in JAMB and working in JAMB today.

Hello sir/ma, you are defeated in life because of the size of your faith not because of the size of your problem.

I pray for you today that where you have been rejected before they will celebrate you again in the mighty name of Jesus.

Conclusively, building a winning mentality required the strength of vision.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

Proverbs 29:18

Vision is what guarantee a triumphant life. What you see empower your driven force to move further in life . The desire of God for us is to live by His vision.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”

Joel 2:28

Where there is vision there is a provision and direction. You cannot carry God’s vision and be stranded.

“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.”

Exodus 23:20

Destiny is from the word destination so our destination is already prepared and packaged by God. Coming out of Egypt and going through the red sea and wilderness to Canna land is God vision that was why red sea, Amalakites, Jordan and Wall of Jericho were too small to stop God’s vision (people) because God is too faithful to abandon His vision.

“For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?”

Isaiah 14:27

You need to know your God vision on earth therefore you need to align your vision with God vision to fulfill your purpose on earth because no devil can stop God’s vision.

Memory Verse:

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

1 John4:4

Striking Point:

You are defeated in life because of the size of your faith not because of the size of your problem.

Prayer Points:
1. Father empower in every department of life to win every battle in the name of Jesus.
2. In the name of Jesus I refuse to stop my journey half way.

1 Samuel 17:33-39

We live by faith and not sight therefore building a winning mentality is a game of mind, strength of faith and not by sight. It is possible for a leper or a blind man to live a successful life but it is impossible to see a successful mad man in the society.

The strength of your mentality determines the quality of your triumphant life.

“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”

Micah 7: 8

A winning mentality is the secret to a triumphant life. God has built in every man a winning mentality right from the beginning of creation God Himself gave us His breath which is the inspiration to live an outstanding life.

“There is a spirit in man and the inspiration ( breath) of the Almighty giveth them understanding.”

Job 32 :8

There is an inspiration invested in your spirit man greater than anything you could imagine in this world to empower you against every mountain in life. There is no mountain anywhere big enough to stop us, the problem is the lack of winning mentality.

“And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine. 33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth. 34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:

1 Samuel 17: 32

David said to a whole King that let no man’s heart fail because of Goliath. What a winning mentality! See there is no Goliath anywhere the problem is lack of giant heart. To lay hold on what belongs you in the place of destiny requires a giant heart because it takes a giant heart to conquer your Goliath.

King Saul said to David again you are a youth so you are not qualified to war against Goliath because of your inexperience ,age, size and strength but David said it is not about age or whatever qualification you could mention my king but it is about what I can do because I am used to winning in any battle field.

Hello sir/ma, Your victory in life is not in size and sight but in the heart.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”.

Philippians 4: 13

What is winning mentality?

To win is to obtain victorious result in a contest.
Mentality is the characteristic way of thinking of a person.
Winning mentality is the characteristic way of thinking about obtaining victorious result.

However, mentality emphasize on character and character is a daily lifestyle of a man therefore winning mentality requires a daily lifestyle commitment of a man thinking positively.

“Let this mind be in you as it was with Jesus.”

Philippians 2:5

Briefly, let me give you the picture of Jesus mind.

In John 3: 17 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He is a saviour, in Jesus 16: 33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. He is an overcomer, in Romans 8: 37” Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

During Jesus earthly ministry you will understand that he has the mind of saviour, overcomer and conqueror therefore defeating satan become a very cheap assignment for Him because of this mentality.

In the next edition we shall be looking at what it takes to build a winning mentality.

Memory Verse:

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Your Victory in Life is not size and sight but in the heart.

“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:
He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”
8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.”

Matthew 4:1-10

We have discovered what Process is all about .In this edition we shall be looking at the importance of process in fulfilling God’s purpose on earth however there are two key words from the definition of process I want you to hold tenaciously from now on.

Once again process is a series of actions that produce something or that leads to a particular result. The two words are Actions and Results. Process has the capacity to expose someone actions and characters.

You will not believe that you can still commit fornication or adultery until you encounter Potiphar’s (Your boss) wife who needs you badly to sleep with her at no cost like Joseph without prying eyes, you will not believe that you can still steal until you are broke and you are a treasurer in your office or church like Judas Iscariot, you will not believe that you can still lie until you are under pressure like Peter who denied Christ three times more so you will not believe that you can give out your birthright at the expense of food until you are caught under pressure to eat anything because of scarcity, famine or unpaid salary for several months.

See, every Will of God for someone life must go through wilderness.

And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

Deuteronomy 8: 2

We will not rush out of this scripture until we go through it over and over again to discover why God allowed His own children to go through wilderness for 40years.

  1. To test humility.
  2. To test actions.
  3. To test their heart.

These are the things that God was looking for in the life of His children for the period of 40 years. Now you know the reason why that breakthrough was delay in your life. Truly, you know if that breakthrough come now or if God answer that anointing you have been praying for you will not be committed or be faithful again in fact you are humble now because you don’t have anything at the moment.

Hello sir/ma , God may allow that problem or that prayer point to tarry for years in order to discover the real you. It was during the process of waiting for the fruit of the womb for almost 4 years I understood what patience is all about.

“For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise”.

Hebrew 10:36

It took 40 years for God to prepare Moses in the wilderness before he graduated yet you know the way he ended. David was anointed at the age of 17years as a king yet he did not ascend the throne until he was 30years.

It took another 40 days in the wilderness by Elijah to discovered Elisha because it was in the wilderness he discovered that he was no longer fit again for the race and God said no problem there is a replacement on ground already.

“But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.”

1 King 19: 4

What of our Lord Jesus Christ?

He spent 40days in the wilderness going through series of test on character development that Adam the first savior failed in the Garden before he graduated from a beloved Son in whom am well pleased to a beloved Son in whom I am well pleased hear Him (Matthew 3:17& Matthew 17:5).

He started the ministry after he passed the test in the wilderness because it was in the wilderness God gave Him a voice. Now this was the same voice that John the Baptist lost in the wilderness as a result of impatience when he left the wilderness and he got killed prematurely that God handed over to Jesus Christ.

The importance of going through a process brethren is for you not to end up in shame. People were coming from town to the wilderness to hear John the Baptist.

In John1: 23 He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. No wonder God said in the book of Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God is working out something in the wilderness you are going through now.

The eternal plans and package for you and I is far beyond bread and pleasures around us. Until you are ready to deny the pleasures of this world you will not be able to access the heavenly treasures prepared for you.

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

James 1: 2

Don’t give up yet God is working on something. I understand you have been waiting for miracle job for years don’t worry, you have been trusting God for the fruit of the womb, you have been waiting for admission ,you are looking for a future partner, you have been waiting on God for divine direction, you have been trusting God for breakthrough? Don’t worry God is working out something better for you.

Let patience have her perfect work on you until you are capable of sustaining your breakthrough. No reasonable mother will give her little child razor blade to play. That you are waiting upon the Lord does not mean you are wasting your time but rather you are waiting on your season.

Until you understand your season you will not see a reason for going through a process. It is my prayer for you that you will not give up or die before your breakthrough.

Memory Verse:

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Striking Point:

Until you are ready to deny the pleasures of this world you will not be able to access heavenly treasures prepared for you.

Matthew 4:1-10

Your success in life is determined by the process you pass through. You must pass through something in life to obtain your breakthrough. The beauty of gold is made through fire therefore life is not fulfill until it pass through a process. Baby is not delivered until the baby is processed for the period of nine (9) months in the womb.

Life is beyond butter and bread. Many people are in haste to accomplish life today in fact their prayer focus is divine speed to fulfill destiny at the expense of process. God is not an author of confusion therefore He has pre designed for every man a period in which he will be processed before he launch him out.

The success of Lord Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry cannot be fulfilled without the law of process at the wilderness.

What is a Process?

Process is a series of actions that produce something or that lead to a particular result. Process is a divine package where God train and prepare His own children for the future ahead. Process is a school of training and preparation for the future leaders.

There are lots of pains, troubles, stress, struggles, pressure ,tears, shame and insult during the process however there is a result behind every insult in fact the insult is permitted most times because is capable of producing tangible results.

Every man is a product of something. What produces you matters in life because it goes a long way to affect your destiny. Man is made in the workshop and not on the stage. Many people are interested in the stage and not the workshop. There is no short cut in life for every short cut will definitely cut you off from the plan and purpose of God.

“And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: 18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 13:17-18

God did not permit them to go through the short cut because they don’t have what it takes to stand the test of time.

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

Matthew 4: 1

God did not allow His Son( Jesus Christ) to start His earthly ministry until He passed through wilderness. To become something in life you must understand the power of process. Process is a period of training in order to determine the real person inside of you.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Jeremiah 17: 9

The essence of process is to determine the position of your heart. The first man Adam failed because he did not pass through the process for he saw everything around him made available no wonder he was not able to manage the success.

Many people have messed up at the peak of their success because they did not go through the process. Process is a period of preparation before manifestation. Jesus Christ was taken to the wilderness to prepare Him for the task ahead.

It was in the wilderness he understood the importance of prayer and fasting, quite time, personal fellowship and the power of the Word. Wilderness is a place where man is made, where flesh is drained, where the will of God is discovered and of course how to live a triumphant life.

In the next edition we shall be looking at the importance of the Power of Process in fulfilling destiny.

Memory Verse:

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

Striking Point:

Your success in life is determined by the process you pass through.

No man can rise above his foundation except by the help of God. The strength of every building lies in the foundation and the secret of every man is resident in the foundation. How far a man can go in life is determine by the foundation.

“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”

Psalms 11:3

Right from the beginning of creation God has prepared a way out of separating man from his foundation and one of the ways is through marriage.

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.”

Genesis 2:24

Separating from father house as an escape route top the agenda of God as divine plan for every man right from the beginning of the world. There is a mystery beyond the physical independence through marriage as we thought however the mystery is unravel in this scripture.

Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee . 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.

Genesis 12: 1-2

God said to Abram to come out of his foundation to a better place He will show him. Let us examine some errors from foundation which may be the reasons God desires for man to leave his father’s house if man must fulfill his purpose.
The first evil ( A murder case between two brothers Cain and Abel ) that took place in the Bible was from the same father house.

The first incest (sex between father and daughters – Lot and his daughters) took place in a father house.
The first robbery and manipulation (Jacob and Esau) took place in a father house.
The first envy and hatred that almost claimed Joseph life (Joseph and his brothers) took place in a father house. The first dream killer was also discovered in a father house.

Therefore beloved you can now understand better the plan of God for every man to leave his father’s house to a better place where God himself has prepared for us through Christ Jesus. Jesus is the new foundation upon which our destiny is covenanted and secured through the sacrifice of His Blood.

“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

1 Corinthians 3:11

This new foundation is free and redeemed from errors ,evil ,guilt and faults.

I pray for you and I that God will take us out of our evil foundation to a place God has prepared for us in Jesus name.
When God says leave your father’s house He only wants you to rise above your foundation and fulfill purpose. Whatever powers that tied your glory down in your foundation will release you today by fire in Jesus name.

Why will God waits for a man to leaves his foundation before God will bless him and make him great ?
That is why we need to consider the meaning of foundation.

What is Foundation?

The word foundation means root or origin of all things. Foundation means the beginning of something that provides support. Literarily, foundation is the basis (as a tenet, principle, or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported.

Now looking at the first definition you will discover that we have root and origin in the sentence. It is the root of the plant that determines their strength and fruits. Foundation determines how fruitful and how far someone will go in life. This is the reason devil is so much interested in fighting someone from foundation because your strength and originality is packaged in your origin therefore devil knows that the moment foundation is conquered everything is defeated.

But am glad to introduce Jesus Christ to you today the new foundation that is far above defeat, failures, afflictions, sickness, bondage, faults, kingdoms, powers and principality. All you need to do is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior and your identity changes immediately.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

In the next edition we shall be looking into solutions and types of foundation.

Memory Verse:

“And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.”

John 1:46

Striking Point:

No man can rise far above foundation.

Prayer Points:

  • Heavenly Father please have mercy on my foundation and deliver me from every legal ground upon which devil is using to attack me in the name of Jesus.
  • Lord Jesus arise and empower me to overcome my evil foundation today.
  • By the Power in the Blood of Jesus I silent every evil and errors at work in my life from my foundation.

You Would Be Shocked To Read What Has Been Happening To Many People On Facebook.

I received the post and message below in my email correspondence and I was compelled to share it because I believe this is important information and knowledge that needs to be out there.

I have copied and pasted the message, the way it was received.

You would be shocked to read what has been happening to many people on Facebook.

Don’t accept Facebook friends request of people you don’t know. Read this to the end, the world is in another shape now, #SHOCKING EXPOSURE!

Every facebook user needs to read this, especially the Christians.

I came across this on youtube and I think you deserve to know this. A man made very shocking confessions on what has been happening on facebook so far, and these were his words as he was questioned…
“We are out with a mandate to lay hold on the souls of the youth.”

WHO ARE YOU?

“We are agents of Lucifer and we are many.”

HOW DO YOU INTEND TO CARRY OUT THIS MISSION?

“We sat in our kingdom and watched how children, teenagers and youths got so interested on the social media, they got so carried away by Whatsapp, Bing, Facebook, Twitter and every other media so we invented a plan. We have destroyed many destinies and rendered many useless through social media but our main concentration is on “Facebook.”

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE FACEBOOK?

Because we saw that it was more progressive than the others, youths love facebook, they spend much time on it than they do on the others so we placed more demonic agents on facebook and they are at work now even as I speak.”

HOW DO YOU GET THESE PEOPLE?

“It’s very easy!(laughs) we send them a friend request, once they accept the request, we write down their names in our book and start manipulating their spirits.”

IN WHAT MANNER DO YOU SEND THE REQUESTS?

“We send the requests just like every other facebook request but the spirit of the individual is captured mainly when he/she goes through our profile pictures or photo albums, once they see our pictures, their souls are already undergoing manipulations because those photos are not just any photo, they are ordinary photos with extraordinary spirits.”

WHAT DO THESE PHOTOS LOOK LIKE?

“Sometimes, we use the naked picture of a woman as our profile picture in order to attract men but most times, we use these pictures (he brought out some horror pictures of these movies- “The Lord of the rings”, “Vampire attack”, and many others I couldn’t recognize). Most times, we chat with them but when we chat, we don’t send text messages, we send these photos and once they see these photos, if they were vibrant spiritually, academically, morally and in every aspect, they will begin to drop and eventually drop down.”

WHAT DO YOU DO TO THE PEOPLE YOU CAPTURE?

“Their lives get contaminated negatively and their minds get polluted with lust, we never let them go, there are more number of spirits on earth than that of humans and each of them is looking for a body to carry them so many spirits can possess one person and before anything happens physically, it is controlled in the spirit. We get them addicted to porn, homosexuality, lesbianism, masturbation, lust and fornication but the main weak points are porn, masturbation and fornication (laughs), they never get out of it no matter how hard they try.”

HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU GOTTEN?

They are too many and majority of them are youth.

GIVE A SPECIFIC NUMBER OF PEOPLE YOU’VE GOTTEN!

“Like I said, they are too many but on facebook alone, we have gotten over 2million youths and i believe our agents are still getting more now. We have diverted our attention on the youth and they are falling to this very plan. We send the request, they accept, go through our photos and they get manipulated. Their lives will never remain the same.”
(After this, the spirit speaking through this young man was cast out showing that even he himself was a victim of the same manipulations).

My dear facebook friend, can you count how many friend requests you’ve accepted or how many people you’ve added? Can you recall how many pictures you’ve seen or how many chats you’ve had? Are you among these 2million youths or among the ones that are yet to be gotten?

Before the end of the deliverance, the spirit mentioned that they have access to the spirits of those facebookers who are “empty” and once they get them, they make love to them through dreams and drain their destinies.

I now ask, “Are you empty?” The term “empty” here is a spiritual term.

Do you have a stronger spirit dominating you?

The Pathway Of Life – Part 2 – Triumphal Meal.

Anchor Text:

“And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 13:17-18

Every man has a destination he/she is heading to but only few knows the right way to follow to arrive the destination.

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Proverbs 3:6

God’s purpose required God’s way and that is why to fulfill God’s purpose on earth you need the right way to achieve it. God is ever conscious of our way because His way guarantee direction while other way leads to destruction.

In this edition we shall be looking at two(2) types of way.

However, Pathway Is a track that a person can walk through or set of actions that you take in life leading to your destination.

“And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.”

Jeremiah 21:8

From the above scripture you will agree with me that there are two ways in life. First, The Way of Life and The Way of Death.

Now, going back to our anchor scripture in Exodus 13:17-18 “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

God identified two ways here for His children which are the way through the Philistines and the way through the wilderness. The way of Philistines is a short cut to the destination however safety was not guarantee while the way through the wilderness is longer but safety was guarantee.

Hello sir/ma , there is a short cut in life but every short cut is meant to cut you off from the purpose of God.

The way of God is always longer for man but the glory awaiting cannot be compare with bread and butter. Though ,God wanted wilderness for His children because wilderness reveal His Will for the next level.

The way of Life is the way of God.

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Proverbs 3:6

If only you can consult God for the right way to go in life then you are sure of divine direction and triumphant life in all your way.

“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”

1 Samuel 30:8

David understood the mystery of life that was why he ensured God must be involved in that journey. See, when you go your own way, you will fight alone. Many are defeated today in the battle of life because they have taken the way of death.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”

Proverbs 14:12

In God’s way ,God himself fight all the battles while your own responsibility is to hold your peace.

“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

Exodus 14:14

When God is involved in your way he solves all problems along your ways.

“Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.”

Zechariah 4:7

Grace is given and available to those that involves God in the race to subdue every barriers that is why mountain is too small neither big enough to stop the purpose of God for your life. When you carry God along in all your ways every doors and gates must be lifted.

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.”

Psalms 24:7

God’ s way cannot be stooped , God’s way cannot frustrated, God’s way cannot be hindered ,God’s cannot be manipulated and God’s way cannot be denied by any powers, policy or any rulers of darkness.

Today ,I present before you my faithful reader the book of Jeremiah 21:8, “And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.”

The choice you make today is very important to the Pathway of life however to everything in life there is an end just think about it. Jesus is the way, the life and the truth .The only truth about this life is that you need Jesus to end well. Remain blessed and Hope to see you in heaven.

Memory Verse:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”

Isaiah 55:8

Striking Point:

There is a short cut in life but every shortcut is meant to cut you off from God’s purpose.

Prayer Point:

Heavenly father show me and lead me through the right way to go in life.

Exodus 13:17-18

In the journey of life, the desire of God for every man he has created is to walk through the right way to our destination. God’s way cannot be frustrated or hinder by any demon. Not even the Red Sea or the Wall of Jericho is big enough to stand in the way of God.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. God’s way guarantee safety, provision and strength. Lot of people are stranded, confused and helpless by the way side because they chose the way to go by them selves.”

Isaiah 55:9

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. God is so much interested in your eternal destination than your earthly life. Marriages crash like car accident this days because it has become the way of man not the Will of God any more. Destruction of lives and property are every where today because people have abandoned the way of God. The way of God cannot be substituted neither will you see an alternative to it anywhere in the world. Hello sir/ma , when you walk in the way of God he will keep you in all your ways.”

Proverbs 14:12

What is pathway?

Is a track that a person can walk through or set of actions that you take in life leading to your destination.
Journey become unbearable and difficult without a pathway. Whatever decision you take today is capable of leading you to a particular destination.

It is God’s desires to use men to accomplish His purpose on earth yet He will never push a man against his choice. The choice you make in life determines your pathway.

Memory Verse:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.”

Isaiah 55:8
