The Powerful Things That The Blood Of Jesus Can Do – Faith In Jesus.

Have you ever felt like the devil is viciously after you? You are probably a “good christian” and believer who does what is supposedly right and yet for one reason or another, the devil seems to be attacking you.

I have felt that way. As the devil and his agents pelt accusations at me. Reminding me of past sins, transgressions and iniquities.

For a long time I struggled with this. I didn’t understand what I was doing wrong to be so attacked and malingered. Then one day as I was reading through the scriptures, I came across a powerful passage in the book of Revelations.

The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah have now come, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown out:
the one who accuses them before our God day and night.
11 They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not love their lives in the face of death.

Revelation 12:10-11

They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not love their lives in the face of death. Revelation 12_11 Bible Verse Instagram Post

This Bible verse opened my eyes on how believers defeat the enemy.

It also revealed to me that believers were under utilizing the Blood of Jesus.

Many believers do not know much about the Blood of Jesus and how they can use it to break the enemy’s strong holds in their lives.

During the last supper, Jesus told his disciples that his blood was part of the New Convent for the forgiveness of sins.

Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks, He gave it to them and said, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood that establishes the covenant; it is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Matthew 26:27-28

Don’t allow the devil to guilt you and shame you for past sins. The blood of Jesus is able to make new and cleanse completely. If you are struggling with sin, go to the father, ask to be washed in the blood of Jesus and repent of your sins.

And if the devil ever dares to start accusing you and reminding you of the past or your shortcomings, just give him your testimony and plead the blood of Jesus.

The blood of Jesus will render all the power and wiles of the enemy powerless.

If you need to know more about the blood of Jesus and what it can do, please read the  brilliant and expository article on the Blood of Jesus by Anomalous Darling.

If you’ve been reading Anomalous Darlings for an extended amount of time, you probably know two things to be true (in addition to my love for Jesus, family and cupcakes): 1) I, too struggle with surrendering to God and 2) I enjoy mystery murder T.V. shows and books. It’s an unlikely combination, but let me […]

God Will Open Your Closed Doors And Deliver Your Gifts In Difficult Times – Encouragement

God Will Open Your Closed Doors And Deliver Your Gifts In Difficult Times - Encouragement Blog Post Banner Image

God Will Open Your Closed Doors And Deliver Your Gifts In Difficult Times – Encouragement.

What do you do when doors lock in your face?
What do you do when doors that were previously open abruptly close? What do you do when doors that are supposed to stay closed open?
What do you do when you are too weak to open closed doors?
What do you do when you are too tired to close open doors?
Open doors that have allowed in a barrage of issues and challenges that flood your life?
What do you do when your anxieties flare up?
And insecurities keep gnawing and eating at your soul?
What happens when you have no one to share all these things with?
And you feel alone because the door to everyone is shut?

These varied questions remind me of Mary and Joseph. Mary pregnant with baby Jesus and traveling with Joseph to Bethlehem for the Census which had been decreed by Caesar August. She was probably in Labor with pains ripping through her body as she and Joseph moved through Bethlehem (The City of David) looking for a place to spend the night since there was no room in the inns for them. I can imagine that as they kept knocking at inn doors, the innkeepers kept saying, “No, sorry we are too full, we don’t have any space left. We can’t take any more people in, Go and look elsewhere.” I wonder what Mary might have felt as she went inn to inn with Labor pains and all the exhaustion that comes with carrying a pregnancy to term while all the doors kept closing in her face.

Was she tempted to doubt the promises of God like many of us sometimes do? Did she wonder about the validity of what the Angel Gabriel had told her about the divinity of the child she was carrying? The Angel had told her some really amazing things:

The book of Luke gives us a lovely narrative

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” he would be the savior of the world.

Luke 1:31-33

Yet on that special and starry night in Bethlehem there seemed to be no room for the Savior to be born. She must have felt like all the forces were against this miracle happening. She must have felt like her baby wouldn’t have a decent place to be born. But glory to God, after much searching, weary and tired, they found a Manger.

Now back to our times:

Even if all the doors to the inns in your life are closed off I need you to know and understand that if you are of the Lord’s, he has an adequate manger somewhere for you. A provision prepared specially for you so that you can give birth to your miracle. It may not be trendy. It may not be glamorous. It may not be luxurious. You might not see it now. You might not feel it now. You might not understand it now. But he has it already prepared and ready. Because he knows everything. He created everything. He is the way marker. He is the strong tower. He is the miracle worker. He is the first and last. He is the Alpha and Omega.

But it will be exactly what you need to birth your miracle. And just like Mary, you will birth your miracle. The Bible doesn’t say whether midwives helped Mary give birth or she did it on her own. However, in that manger, she brought forth her Baby Boy. Our Savior. Our King of Kings. Our Lord of Lords. The Messiah!

When he was just born, I wonder if he screamed hungrily and had to be fed immediately. I wonder if he cried a mighty cry. I wonder about many things but oh I’m glad she had a manger to push the baby. And in that Manger, many decades ago, after the savior of the world was born, the country shepherds came and paid tribute to the King of kings. They didn’t find a baby dressed in expensive outfits. They found a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes.

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

Luke 2:11-12

After the shepherds had paid their tributes to the king and had gone around to spread the good news, in came the wise men from the east. During those times, there was no GPS, no Satellites or NASA and yet the wise men were able to find Jesus Christ. Well, just like the wise men were able to locate Jesus, your own wise men that God has prepared to give you gifts will find you. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are. It doesn’t matter how deep the pit is. It doesn’t matter how high the mountain is. It doesn’t matter how dark the circumstance. It doesn’t matter how complex the situation.

“When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.

Matthew 2:10-11

Your gifts from God will search for you and they will find you and your provisions will be delivered. God is not a man that he should lie. The word of the Lord is true.

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Numbers 23:19

And he is faithful even when we are not faithful. He is trustworthy and honorable. Let his name be praised forever more. Your gifts are coming. Your provisions are coming. It doesn’t matter whether you are in a barn or manger. It doesn’t matter if you are homeless with no roof over your head. It doesn’t matter if you are on the street with nowhere to go. It doesn’t matter where you are. God is going to deliver your gifts. God is sending his wise men and shepherds. Jesus is sending exactly what you need. And he will add more to it. So hang tight! Hold on! Don’t stop believing. Don’t let your faith go.

Jesus, we are so grateful and honored that you were born for our sakes. Jesus, we so deeply moved and thankful that you could leave your kingdom and come down as man and accept to be born in a manger. Not in luxury but in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes. We are humbled by your humility. Help us follow your example. Help us be like you. Humbling ourselves. And we are so grateful to Abba for the gift of you. You are the best thing that ever happened to humanity. In Jesus’s name, I have prayed. Amen.

The New World Order – Is Facebook Part Of The Plot – Harbingers Of The End Times.

With Mark Zuckerberg in the United States Senate answering questions about his brilliant invention known as, Facebook some thoughts come to mind.
Facebook has changed World History and life as we know it. Facebook is very powerful and the tentacles of its influence and dominance far-reaching and wide.
With about 2 billion users of the about 7 billion people in the world, (Approximately 30% of the world population) Facebook and it’s influence can’t be ignored.
While considering these numbers, I’m reminded of Alexander the Great. He was the King of the ancient Greek Kingdom of Macedon and a Member of the Argead Dynasty who went out to conquer vast lands and kingdoms.
With the way Facebook is growing and increasing, I’m pushed to feel like they are on the same path as Alexander in seeking to conquer the world.
Further meditation on these in addition to other facts led me to consider the role of Facebook in the New World Order and the End Times.

A few months back, I  listened to a very powerful sermon by Pastor Charles Dawson titled, “10 Ways We’re Being Tracked, Traced & Data Based.” He preached this sermon a few years back. Yet the relevance of his teachings with the happenings in the world today is quite startling.

While some of the events and forces playing out in the world maybe disturbing, it gives me assurance that my Lord and savior Jesus Christ is coming back. Consequently, the hope I have that Jesus will be coming for his Church very soon makes every suffering and uncertainty in this world worth enduring.

The Prophet Daniel said these words many decades ago. When he said these words, many of the innovations and inventions we enjoy today were not yet created but it’s amazing just how much it all correlates with current happenings.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. 4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

Daniel 12:2-4

Indeed we are living in, “The Time of the End” and Modern Age where knowledge keeps increasing at an alarming rate.

The technological advances we keep witnessing are mind-blowing.
The ingenuousness of the Human mind is growing with every invention and innovation.

  • As one watches world events,  some days it feels like the Bible story of Human beings trying to build the Tower of Babel to reach the Heavens. [Genesis 11: 1-10]

  • American phenomenon like Black Friday have spread to other Nations around the World where people never really bothered about such days.

  • British Prince Harry decided to get a Wife from America. A beautiful woman, Meghan Markel who is also part Black breaking common British tradition.
  • Various couples meet on Facebook, Twitter, and other Social sites and go ahead to get married and start families.
  • You can call anyone in the world with an internet connection and a Facebook account at anytime free of charge.

  • People are pushing for a new religion called Chrislam which is supposed to merge and unite Christians and Moslems worldwide and bring them together as one.

  • Amazon is slowly by surely extending its services to reach every country in the world.

  • You can send funds in a flash with Western Union, World Remit, Google to many countries in the world.
In view of these few observations, I collected a number of articles that give a deeper understanding of the role of Facebook in the New World Order.

Growing And Increasing – Faith In Jesus Christ

Growing And Increasing – Faith-in-jesus-christ/">Faith In Jesus Christ.

Today a friend asked me these questions:“How can I grow, increase and build my faith in Jesus Christ? For one reason or another, I seem to be stuck in this one place and I feel like I’m unable to move forward.”After hearing her question, my mind immediately rushed to the famous and popular scripture found in Romans chapter 10 verse 17. That says:

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Romans 10:17

This scripture shows that if we are to grow and increase our faith in Christ Jesus, then we have to listen to his word.

Your faith has saved you. Go in peace. Luke 7_50 Bible Verse Instagram Post

But this scripture goes deeper than just hearing the word of Christ.Several times, when this scripture is quoted by people, they will stop at saying, hear the word of God and you will develop your faith. But I feel this is superficial and the verse goes much further than this:We can see this by reading further in Romans 10:

“But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.” 19 But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation I will make you angry.” 20 Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, “I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.” 21 But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

Romans 10:18-21

Verse 21 is where I want us to focus: Hearing the word of God alone is not enough. It’s not enough to just listen to the preachers and to read the Bible. You have to be obedient to the word that you hear. You have to follow the commandments of God and you have to do what he asks of you to do. You have to live in righteousness if you are going to build your faith and if it is going to grow, increase and develop. The Apostle James goes deeper with this:

“What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

James 2:14-17

So this clearly illustrates to us that you can have a Faith that is dead and useless. But Faith is supposed to be alive. Faith is supposed to be powerful. Faith should be able to move mountains like Jesus said.Dead Faith can’t move things since it has no life and is thus useless. For Faith to have Life, you have to be obedient.

You have to walk the talk. You have to do what God asks of you to do. You have to live in righteousness and godliness so that just like Abraham, you can be called a friend of God having being justified by your Faith accompanied by works.

“And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.”

James 2:23-23

By works, James is saying, actions! Living in righteousness. Doing what the Word says after you have heard it. In the world that we live in today, most of us want to do what we want, when we want it and how we want it. It has become so bad, that we have become worshippers of self. People worship themselves and they have turned their ears and hearts away from listening to the word of God.

Obeying God and doing his will has become very difficult for most people. I do understand that we can only walk by grace but how many people are willing to pray for the Grace to walk upright?

Another burgeoning trend is people quoting scriptures and posting gospel songs on social media like Facebook and Twitter for the sake of it. Many post these words from the Bible but they never live by these words. I pray that we start living by the words of Christ in deed and not just in speech. Our lifestyles and character should be reflective of his words and teachings. When people observe your behavior and how you live, they should see Christ and not you.

So, how do you build your faith in Jesus Christ?

  1. Hear his word: This could be through reading the word of God, listening to preachers, Bible Study, Gospel Music etc.
  2. After hearing the Word, putting the word in action by obeying and living righteously. I pray the Lord gives us the strength and courage to obey his word and live our lives for him and not for ourselves.

Emunah – Faith That Makes The Impossible Possible

In Hebrew, Faith is Emunah and it’s written as אֱמוּנָה .

It is true that faith as defined by the writer of the Biblical book of Hebrews as; “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” is a very powerful phenomenon that is able to turn impossibilities into possibilities.

Emunah, Faith, Hebrew Black, white, pink Square 3

Jesus once said, “faith even as small as a mustard seed could move a mountain.” When you compare the comparisons between a mustard seed and a mountain, the differences in proportions are quite mind boggling. Faith is therefore a very powerful force to be reckoned with that can only be compared to Hope and Faith.

“Because of your little faith,” He told them. “For I assure you: If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 17:20

In Chapter 11 of Hebrews, the writer does a splendid job of providing us with various examples of Faith in action. Each of the stories shared, of ordinary men and women who were able to accomplish extraordinary feats is very inspiring and motivating.

According to your faith let it be to you.” Matthew 9_29 Bible Verse Instagram Post

Below is an excerpt of Hebrews 11.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, So that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. 5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Hebrews 11:1-8

Emunah, Faith, Hebrew Black, white, pink Square 18

By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 For he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

Hebrews 11:9-16
