The heart plans
The heart hears
The heart thinks
The heart knows
The heart tastes
The heart smiles
The heart cleanses
The heart pollutes
The heart collects
The heart dreams
The heart pushes
The heart divides
The heart hides
The heart gives
The heart takes
The heart runs
The heart rests
The heart beats
The heart calms
The heart creates
The heart designs
The heart sustains
The heart provides
The heart transmits
The heart remembers
The heart understands
The heart stores
The heart restores
The heart releases
The heart destroys
The heart changes
The heart replenishes
The heart eats
The heart sees
The heart fears
The heart loves
The heart hates
The heart works
The heart drinks
The heart shields
The heart vibrates
The heart protects
The heart is a destination
The heart is a road
The heart is a source
The heart is a shelter
The heart is the sheltered
The heart can give life
The heart can lighten
The heart can darken
The heart can empty
The heart can start
The heart can stop
The heart can fill
The heart can kill
The heart pulls
The heart opens
The heart closes
The heart listens
The heart rejects
The heart softens
The heart hardens
The heart commits
The heart gets surprised
The heart gets heavy
The heart gets happy
The heart gets joyful
The heart gets light
The heart gets cold
The heart gets high
The heart gets sad
The heart gets low
The heart gets hot

Bible Verse:

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

Psalms 139:13-16

Sometimes Not Sharing Is Caring And Wise – Life Lessons From The Ten Virgins – Parable.

Most of us have heard the catch phrase, “Sharing is caring.” But is this always true? Well, the parable of the ten virgins as told by Matthew says otherwise. Sometimes not sharing is actually caring. Especially if your sharing causes another person pain or put’s them in harm’s way.

We can take the simple example of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs). Would sharing a STD/STI with another person be caring? Of course not. What about sharing drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, porn and other wicked materials with other people. Is that caring? Certainly not.

If sharing causes more harm than good, (even when the harm is to self), then that sharing is not caring. In addition to not sharing being wise sometimes, below are other lessons we can pick from the parable of the ten virgins.

Emunah, Faith, Hebrew Black, white, pink Square 2

  1. There are two types of believers. Foolish believers and wise believers.
  2. The oil in this parable can mean a number of things. One of those things is the Holy Spirit.
  3. Wise believers are filled with the Holy Spirit. They live in the spirit and not in the flesh.
  4. Foolish believers, believe in Jesus but they are not led or filled with the Holy spirit. They live carnally.
  5. Wise believers are a light in a dark world.
  6. The journey of faith requires endurance and stamina because Jesus may be long in coming. (But he will definitely come because the scriptures are true and they don’t lie).
  7. Jesus is going to come at any time. We should always be ready awaiting his return.
  8. This is one of those few times when not sharing is a wise and smart move contrary to popular teachings. If the wise virgins had shared the little oil they had, they would have foolishly perished.
  9. There is great and glorious banquet ready for Jesus’s Elect. We have something to hope for. We don’t labor for the good news of the gospel in vain.
  10. Salvation will not always be available. Someday, it will be too late to enter the kingdom of God. It is therefore wise to wash our garments clean, repent and live for Jesus while we still have time.
  11. Being a believer is not a guarantee that Jesus knows you. Only being a true believer in Jesus guarantees that he knows you.
  12. Always be watchful, sober and awake so that you don’t miss heaven and Jesus.

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour. Matthew 25_13 Bible Verse Instagram Post

The Parable Of The Ten Virgins:

“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4. The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’ 7. “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ 9. “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ 10. “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. 11. “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’ 12. “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’ 13. “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

I’m Here Just Incase – Poem.

Your eyes are so sad
And your smile doesn’t reach your eyes
You are searching
And looking
And asking
And there is a deep void inside you
That no one seems able to fill at the moment
I hope you are alright
And I wish I could give you joy
And make your eyes come alive and sparkle
But I also understand that it’s only Jesus who can give Joy!
A deep abiding and abundant Joy
However,  I’m here
Incase you need a friend
And you need a listening ear
And caring hands
.
I’m here
To listen to your stories
And to give you a shoulder to cry on
And a hand to hold
.
I’m here
To make you smile
And to make you understand that you matter
And you are worth it
And you mean so much to me
I’m here
To To make you see
That you light up the world
In your own unique and brilliant way
I’m here
To To let you know
That you were created for great things
That you have royalty running through your veins
.
I’m here
To beg you
Not to settle
Don’t settle for less
Reach for the Heavens
Reach for Jesus
Reach for Abba
Reach for Salvation
Extend your hand towards Yeshua
He is ever ready and willing to hold you and me,
Well, I’m here to support you and help you
So that we can both hold him together

Bible Verse:

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. 30 When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice 31 (for the Lord your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

Hope And Justice When Faced With Difficulty And Injustice – Life Lessons From The Persistent Widow – Parable.

Difficulty, adversity and hard times are part of life. We can’t avoid pain, disappointment, anguish, grief or calamity who-ever we are and where-ever we live. Sooner or later, these negatives will find each of us regardless of our class or station in Life. However, we need not despair the storms of life come our way. When faced with adversity, we can find comfort, justice, hope, love, joy and peace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the Christian journey of faith, there will be times when our faith will come under attack from the enemy. Times when we will feel hopeless and in despair because of seeming injustices done to us. And maybe there will also be times when we pray to God for something and he seem’s silent and distant.

We might even fast and go without various pleasures for days without any change or improvement in our situation. It can be frustrating and very tempting to give up our faith and hope in the Lord when situations like these arise.

A few days ago I had a conversation with a friend who was going through some difficulties and she needed hope, comfort, inspiration and motivation to keep going. During our talk, one statement seemed to keep recurring, and it was, “Where do I find hope and comfort in the midst of all this chaos?

She kept telling me, “God seems to be silent this time. He has been faithful but this time it feels like he has disappeared.” She went further to say, “I’m not a bad person and I feel like I have done everything right. I go to Church regularly and though I can’t say I’m perfect, I know that I’m not committing any conscious sins. I feel righteous and yet I keep wondering why God doesn’t hear me. Isn’t he supposed to hear the prayers of the righteous?”

“It’s getting harder and harder to keep believing and going on as my situation seems to get worse.” I could empathize with her. I too had experienced situations in my life when I felt hopeless, alone and abandoned.

So, as we talked, the parable of the persistent widow came to mind because it was a particular one that had helped me to keep being persistent despite various difficulties I had faced in life. In my own words, I call the persistent widow, “The woman who refused to say NO when everything around her was pressuring her to say YES and to quit.”

I call her the woman who chose not to give up despite the odds stacked against her. She is a testament to the power of persistence in breaking rocks and hardships. Her story is a testimony to the power of prayer to change situations and circumstances.

Luke one of Jesus’s twelve disciples writes her story. She was a widow who was faced with an adversity (he doesn’t tell us what the adversity was) and this great adversity drove her to seek help and justice from a Judge.

Unfortunately, this Judge kept turning her down and refusing her requests. Yet despite all this, she refused to be deterred. She kept pushing and pushing. Some may falsely call her behavior stubborn but she wasn’t stubborn like King Saul. To the contrary she was devoted like King David.

A singular devotion that kept her persistent until she finally got what she needed. The Parable, reminds us that our God is not cruel. Our God is a God of compassion and justice. Our God hears our cries and various pleas, and one day soon, he will give us the justice we need.

Are you facing an adversity and a hard situation?
Are you having difficulty maintaining your faith in Jesus because of a calamity or crisis?
Are you seeking and looking for comfort for your aches and pains?

Well, I have a simple answer for you and his name is Jesus. Go to Jesus and tell him what the challenge is. Talk to him. Seek him. Plead with him. Search for him. Pray to him unceasingly! His word says if we seek him with our hearts, we shall find him.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 4:29

Finding hope in the midst of turbulence

The Parable Of The Persistent Widow:

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think,
yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!'”
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Luke: 18. 1-8
