Sandals of peace as part of the full amor of God – Spiritual warfare.
15 And your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace.
Who in this world doesn’t want peace? We crave for it. Whether as believers or non believers.
I remember the speech President Donald Trump’s gave when he officially recognized Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel and he spoke about the world wanting peace.
Especially considering the middle east conflict and the spiritual significance of events going on there.
Everyone in the world is speaking peace but the truth of the matter is that the world and everything in it can not give us peace.
In fact Jesus must have astonished his listeners when he told them that he had not come to bring peace but a sword.
34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’
Kind of surprising since he is the Prince of Peace, right?
Actually it is not surprising because in another passage Jesus promises to give his followers peace.
The kind of peace the world can never give anyone.
The kind of peace that cannot be negotiated, bought or sold. Only he as the prince of peace has the ability to give it.
27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
And he is also that gospel of peace. When we preach Jesus to the world, we are in essence offering them Peace through the the Prince of peace.
It is the same with the Beatitudes when Jesus speaks of the peacemakers. If we are peacemakers, we shall not only be blessed but we shall also be called son’s of God. How amazing is that?
9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.
Let us always be ready to give people peace when they are faced with chaos, uncertainty, war and instability.
Let’s give people Jesus, wherever and whenever we find them.
The world is in desperate need of real peace.
Let’s therefore put on our sandals of peace: run, sprint, jog, walk to give the world the Prince of Peace.
6 For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
Be A Peacemaker
Let's Live In The Peace Of Jesus
